THE CHALLENGE
An industry most young people know nothing about
Svensk Sjöfart’s own research showed a clear pattern: very few young people considering their education and career path know what it actually means to work in the maritime industry. The opportunities are vast — from engineering and navigation to sustainability and logistics — but they remain invisible to most of Gen Z.
Bridging that knowledge gap through traditional content — articles, brochures, web pages — would require an enormous effort, and even then it would be difficult to cover every possible question a young person might have. Svensk Sjöfart needed a way to make all of this information instantly accessible in a format that actually resonates with their target audience.
